Posting Comments:	Position is for Lincoln ONLY Special Education - Functional Academics - Substitute : Minimum Qualifications: Ability to work well with children with disabilities Must be at least 20 years of age High school diploma or GED Pass criminal background check Attend orientation - when scheduled, dates are posted on SAISD website Summary of Responsibilities: - Assist in providing for physical and instructional needs of students with disabilities in the special education setting. - Assist students with disabilities according to individual needs, including transferring to and from wheelchairs, lifting, positioning, signing, interpreting, and various other needs. Work under the general supervision of the principal and direction of teacher(s). - Assist students with physical needs and personal care, which may include feeding, toileting, and personal hygiene. - Supervise students throughout the school day. Maintain confidentiality. Maintain familiarity with district initiatives to better serve the needs of students.
