Posting Comments:	Qualifications Education/Certification -Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university -Valid Texas teaching certificate, preferred Special Knowledge/Skills -Knowledge of behavior support strategies and techniques -Ability to implement behavior supports and manage student behaviors -Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills Experience -Minimum of three years’ successful teaching experience or related work experience, preferred -Crisis Prevention Intervention Non-Violent Physical Training (6 hour initial and 3 hour annual refresher), required Responsibilities -Provide compensatory, intensive, and/or accelerated instruction and services to students identified as at-risk. -Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences to help fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. -Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. -Support the district in a multi-tiered system of behavior supports by providing the following: whole-school behavior interventions and preventions, intensive interventions for students with significant challenges, best practice models of behavior and discipline, social emotional learning, and restorative discipline practices. Salary Schedule: This is a 10 month position. Salary is based on the district teacher salary schedule. All applicable state and local benefits apply.
